Windows XP sp3I'm not familiar with the VLC media player but if you suspect this changed when you installed the VLC media then look at it's Options to see if you can change them?
When I double-click a folder icon in Explorer, it tries to add it to the VLC MediaPlay. I must of checked something when I installed that app.
I went into Folder Options | Edit File Types |Advanced, for folders, and I see the following entries in the Actions:
Add to VLC media player's Playlist (bold font)
DiskMapper
find
Play with VLC media player
Print Directory Listing
The command buttons in the dialog box only give me New and Set Default
Edit and Remove are disabled - grayed out.
So how do I get it so that when I double click on a folder in the right-side window, it just opens the folder and shows the files?
Thank you.
If that doesn't work then consider uninstalling the VLC media player and see if your folder options change back? Or wait and see if anyone else comes up with a better solution.
