Sorry, I'm just about out of ideas. Perhaps they are having
intermittent problems with their Web site. When I clicked on the
link you posted (with IE7), I got the correct screen. But that's not
to say there aren't other problems on their end. I really think it's
them and not you. Good luck! (At least, you can get there with
Opera...) Still, you may want to try IE in the No Add-Ons mode, just
for good
measure. Finally, you could try a Clean Boot:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353

(which, of course, can and should be reversed)

If you still can't get through with IE, I have absolutely no idea
why that would be!

thank you daave & yes, that exact box did appear.

Also, click on this link:

Did a box appear saying "You can Use JavaScipt!"?

Dallas, assuming you don't have any malware (this is always a
possibility, even if remote), I am leaning toward a third-party
program (including a browser toolbar) interfering. But for now,
one more time, drill down to these settings:

Tools | Internet Options | Security | Custom Level | Scripting

There should be five items:

1. Active Scripting
2. Allow Programmatic clipboard access
3. Allow status bar updates via script
4. Allow websites to prompt for information using scripted windows
5. Scripting of Java applets

What are the settings for each?

Did you ever try running IE in No Add-ons mode?

thanks daave & emptying the browser is one thing I do know how
to do ! i will do that, close., reboot & also run my security
programs. i use:

the windows firewall
spybot
ccleaner
spyware blaster
avg's free antivirus
ad-aware
super antispyware free edition

i only have 1 running in the background.

also, why, after all this time, did this start to happen ? it
would have to be on their end, no ? i have not changed a thing
on my machine. again, many thanks

It tells me that:

1. There is still some setting in IE that needs to be changed

2. You need to close IE and empty the browser cache and run IE
again 3. There is a plugin or a third-party program interfering
with IE's
scripting

or

4. You may have malware

I am glad that Opera is working for you. The first thing I
would do is close IE, empty the browser cache (there are many
different ways to do this; if you need guidance, post back) and
reboot. And checking for malware is always wise. If no joy,
give us a complete list of all your security programs
(firewall, antivirus, antispyware, etc.). Good luck!

hope this finds all doing well.

just tried to log into my credit union's site & they now say
:"Your browser is not capable of viewing this site because
it does not support JavaScript or JavaScript may be
disabled. Please enable JavaScript on your browser. "
I am trying to find out how to enable it, but still
searching. any/all will be appreciated - thanks ia!

Until you fix your IE issue, why not try another Web browser
for now? Opera, Firefox, and K-Meleon are all very good.

You don't even need to make your alternate browser the
default one. Whenever you want to use it, simply
double-click the desktop shortcut icon.
