I apologize, you gae me so much information I missed responding to it all at
once..No Yellow exclamation marks in deice manager I ha\/e one "problem"
The ethernet card pooped out in my motherboard, I bought a new external
ethernet card, and suddenly the other one was showing up??.. so I disabled
it.. it has always bothered me, since I don't like things out of order or
things not quite right with my computer.. The sound card inboard also pooped
out..bought a new sound card recently but the Multimedia Audio Control from
the old inboard sound card was showing up under sound in deice manager, so
I disabled it in bios The hardware manager then stopped trying to find a
dri\/er for it :) I was really proud of myself, since I am limited with my
technical information but I try really hard.. lol Is there a way for me to
do the same with the inboard ethernet card in bios?
No the problem did not show in the boot process, but later.. actually I
lea\/e my computer on and when I woke up I saw the message on my desktop..
Sorry my \/ is out on my keyboard...
hugs Rainy ps just hope the motherboard doesn't poop out while I am
updating things.. There is another thread coming but will wait for this one
to finish out..

Background information on Stop Error message
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms793589.aspx
0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Typically due to a bad driver, or faulty or incompatible hardware or
software. Use the General Troubleshooting of STOP Messages checklist
above. Technically, this error condition means that a kernel-mode
process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not
have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was
too high. (A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that
have an IRQL lower than, or equal to, its own.)

You receive a "Stop 0x0000000A" error message in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314063/
Does the problem show itself during the boot process or later?
Has the problem occurred whilst using safe mode?
A single error is not always worthy of lengthy investigation?
Are any devices malfunctioning? Select Start, All Programs, Accessories,
System Tools, System Information. Open Components under System Summary
and click on Problem Devices. Is anything listed there?
Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?
