Hi Daave, You are saying that the two "errors" I have posted are not
errors, there were no errors then before or after.. .I see now they are
information.
I am copying and pasting your comments here so I can respond to them
Not two computers.. Rainy is not my real name it's my screen name, I forgot
to change the name on the second one.. oops! :)
The only hardware problemes I was having was my keyboard.. but my son gave
me his old one.. no other problems unless you count an ethernet card inboard
that stopped working, then showed up later, I bought a plug and play
ethernet card and disabled the inboard one..
I have had these two errors for a couple of weeks duration.
I was just in Device manager, and nothing shows up.. no exclamation points
... only that red x for the disabled inboard ethernet card...Is there a way
to disable it
in Bios? is that a good idea?
No I have not performed any hardware diagnostics.. not in the 2 weeks I have
received these errors (2)
No I am not on my computer when this happens.. so no I am not doing anything
in particular
Usually in my email.. Outlook Express just before
My computer is in good shape as far as checking for malware and virus.. I
update at least before I scan.. if not every day.. I also do my
maintenance on a daily basis. I'm obsessive about maintenance.. I have an
older computer that I take very good care of..
I don't know what third party software is? sorry!
My latest hardware is my new sound card, and a stick of ram.. 512mb to add
to the other two.. although I do not see any different with the
added ram.. total is 1.5*gigs.. I am heavy into graphics.. that's why I
need an extra amount.. I have only three slots so more will be coming.. lol
Is there a way to test the ram? I bought it from Crucial .. I think they
are reliable..
hugs Rainy ps can you please respond at the top.. doing it this way is
difficult to read...or respond to.. I hope I got everything..as you can see
I try really hard to respond
It looks like you have two computers. What versions of XP and Service
Pack levels are you running on them? What specific problems are you
having with them? Hardware issues? If so, have you performed any
hardware diagnostics? How long have you had these problems? Do you
recall doing anything in particular right before you started
experiencing these problems? What is the malware status of these PCs? Is
there any recently installed software or hardware? How frequently do you
get errors?
You stated in your other thread that you saw the following message:
"system just recoered from a serious error"
Do you constantly get this message, or was it just a one-time only
occurence? (At least it looks like your keyboard is working again. :-) )

Gerry is trying very hard to help me. Gerry I really appreciate this,
. but I don't think he is getting all his email. I have responded to
all of his questions.. as a matter of fact I have responded 10
times.. One of his requests I didn't understand but corrected my
answer as soon as I realized. He keeps asking me the same thing over
and over again.. because he feels I have not responded or answered..
I am guessing. Can someone please jump into the thread.. I know
this is not right to do.. but I am at my wits end! So I didn't know
what else to do.. Rainy

"If you receive the "Stop: 0x0000000A" error message after Windows XP is

be causing the error."
Go to that page and scroll down to the "Error occurs after Windows XP is
already installed" section.
