prefetch query

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

hello all,

in googling around for answers to my hotmail issue - see post below - i
landed at a forum & came across some questions on prefetch file; the answers
were to sometimes delete all that's in there as it "gets bloated from time
to time" - what are your opinions regarding this ?
