Re: Why does Windows not finish loading after the computer has sat overnight?

If this is happening to all the computers in the room, I suspect the power
is being turned off in the night.
One of the reasons given to turn off the computers was the danger of
lightening, I'd recommend getting Uninterruptible Power Supplies. They are
at least as important as Backing UP data.
I had a BBS some years ago using an Atari Mega ST4 which ran continuously
for seven years. The down side was I turned it off one day and when it was
turned on again, it didn't. I suspect the capacitors and resistors finally
cooked.
BTW, my network printer and modem/router are left on 24/7. Hmmm... phone
also, it has a wall wart. It's a Siemens eight channel unit with six
wireless intercom phones.

I have a number of PCs that if the user leaves the computer on when they go
home, when they come in in the morning and do Control-Alt-Delete thier wall
paper loads but stops at that point.
The user ends up turning the PC off, and then logging in and it loads
them.
It just won't load if they try and log in after its sat overnight....
Anyone run across this?
Anyone know how to fit it?
Anyone have an idea where to start?
Thanks
Kelvin
