I have a copy of Microsoft Digital Image suite 10 which I obtained
from ebay. I understand that Microsoft has discontinued this product.
My operating system is XP and I have Internet Explorer 7 SP3. I have
tried every way possible to install this product but with no luck at
all. First I get a message saying close all open programs. I click OK
but There are none opened. Then I get a message saying it can not
install Internet Explorer 6. And finally I get a message saying I do
not have enough disc space and I need to clear space. I have a 80 GB
hard drive and only about a quarter of it is filled. I have followed
all the steps in the fix it program and now i come to you. Any
suggestions? Is it possible that the producted is flawed? I was told
that it was new which may or may not mean anything. Looking forward
to hearing from someone.
Well, it may have been written pre SP3 and pre IE7 which, depending on
how the author handled such an event, could screw it up.
Is it intended for XP? If not, you may need to use one of the win9x
compatability settings.
Is it a DOS mode program? If so, it likely cannot be installed. XP's
"DOS" isn't compatible with pure MSDOS.
Telling you to close all applications etc., is pretty much standard
practice and the appearance of the message doesn't indicate that it
thinks you have windows open unless it's phrased as an error message.
Is it? Probably irrelevant.
In view of its apparent but unknown age, yes, it could very well be
flawed. Try going to their site and looking uip Tech Support for your
version. Personally I've never heard of it, so can't help any more than
these few words; sorry.
If you repost here, add many more details as you can think of.
