In your first post you did not tell us what version of Windows you had, it could have been Home or Pro or even Media Centre and knowing the version of OS (operating system) can sometimes make a lot of difference with regards the help that is needed.
As far as I know you would need a Bluetooth Dongle to be able to use your phone with your computer I don't know if you can download the necessary drivers needed via the web, one of the experts would have to tell you that I haven't had the need to look.
I'm pretty sure the software for my dongle was Widcomm or something like that not sure of the spelling without delving into my system to look it up but try a Google search for Bluetooth and you should find information to help you out while you wait for one of the others to see your post.
Good luck.

Thanks Joan,.
forgive my lack of understanding, but what do you mean by "i havent told you what OS I am running?" I thought the OS= WIndows xp home edition. It came installed (OEM) with my HP pavillion laptop. I have heard of those dongle bluetooth things. If I get one of those dongle things does it need the CD it comes with to make it work??
A family memeber wanted to know if I wanted it (dongle) a while back cause he wasnt using it anymore. But he did not have the CD so I thought it is useless without it; unless i can download it online. Still, did not give it much thought back then as I wasnt wanting anything bluetooth then, til now.
If a dongle is all i need, then maybe that will do for now

One of my phones is the same as yours and I have that paired to my machine but that's a desktop not a laptop running XP Home.
The dongle came with a CD to install the necessary software so I could use it with any Bluetooth device.

"Cynanthis" <nospam@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:O9JIFHI0IHA.4816@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxHi, my 2 1/2 old Laptop may or maynot have bluetooth but I dont know how to check. I already tried to read the 'help' section on it on my LT. Its fancy enough where is has wireless and all.
My project is to try to pair my motorola razr (tmobile) through the bluetooth it has, to my windows xp pc; so I can transfer pictures and not have to send them one at a time via text, etc. I dont want to have to buy motorola software.
So, how can i check for bluetooth on my windows pc?
