Yesterday evening when I closed my PC, Microsoft updated my XP
Professional
operation system.

This morning, my open applications are no longer showing in the task bar -
I
can only get to them via Task Manager.

How do I get open applications icon back onto my task bar please ?
Looking
at the threads, other people have suffered this problem before but I don't
understand the solutions - I don't want to start editing the registry.
