I think you misunderstood my problem, they only appear unsorted when I go
to "Add a favourite" and then click on the "Create In" : It is this
dropdown list that appears as unsorted.

That's exactly what Don said. By default Favorites are listed by date.
Right click within the list and choose sort by Name and *then* they will
be
alphabetical.
