A couple of things come to mind. Uninstall Acrobat 5.0. Version 7.08
should handles legacy .pdf files.
Change your Open With settings to use version 7.08 with all .pdf files.
To do that, open Windows Explorer, select menu Tools->Folder Options,
then File Types tab. The rest is pretty much intuitive.
Hope this helps.

I recently downloaded adobe acrobat reader 7.08.
When it try to open a pdf file it aways opens in acrobat 5.0, which I
also
have on the computer.
Acrobat 5. will not open the file , and I get an error message to
upgrade
which I did to 7.0
How do I get 7.0 to open the files , is there something I need to
change ?
I am using Window XP Home
Thanks for any help on this . Moe
