Re: computer starts on its own every night

You can`t use the mouse in bios you have to use the arrow keys to navigate,
Enter to select/change setting and Esc to exit settings amongst others.

Ty so much for explaining how to get to that setting, well i went there
and
it has 2 keys to click f2 and f12 and neither has an opt to click the
words
bios or lan local area network im guessing that means. But at the top of
the
pages it has bios version then some numbers and a letter but its info not
an
opt to click. Ive never changed any settings i dont understand on my
computer
so i dont know how they would be changed. But im willing to try anything
im
so tired of it going on each night although now i unplug it at
bedtime,.Can
u tell me what to specifically look for to find this setting,i need layman
terms ty again

wake on LAN setting is a BIOS setting.
On most computers you access the BIOS by pressing delete mutliple times
during boot....if it is not delete the proper button to push is usually
listed at the bottom of the boot screen.
Once in the BIOS just search thru the pages till you find wake on lan and
disable/turn off. Then save your settings and exit the bios.
Do not change any other setting.
