When I first installed XP and visited a website that required
a password I
was asked if I wanted to save the password. I checked the box
to prevent
being asked again. I now have a need to save a password for
some sites.
Please can someone tell me how can I re-enable that window
that pops up to
ask me if I want to save the password?

For IE7
Go to Control Panel and double click Internet Options.
Click on the Content tab.
In the AutoComplete section, hit the Settings button.
In the dialog that pops up, make sure "Prompt me to save
passwords" is checked.
Click OK twice.
For IE6
Go to Control Panel and double click Internet Options.
Click on the Content tab.
In the Personal Information section, hit the AutoComplete
button.
In the dialog that pops up, make sure "Prompt me to save
passwords" is checked.
Click OK twice.
Good luck
