Hi there...
Do the following:
How to remove a second installation of a Windows operating system from a partition

This should solve your problem.

Hello Forum!.
When my system boots to the screen where the operator is asked "Which operating system to load ?" (and a 30 second timer begins to back-count automatically....), I ended up with a list that contains two identical choices: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (times 2). I have always chosen the first selection which is the one the system defaults to when the timer expires.
I suspect that the initial Windows XP installation was interupted or somehow interfered with and it was loaded twice, either the program or the selection choice or maybe both. I doubt there were two complete installs of files, preferences etc., but who knows what lurks in those hidden, secret folders on a large hard drive? I sure don't.
Is there any reason to retain two copies of the same choice, and if not, how do I delete the extra listing without risking any of my system or configuration settings ? I am trying to clean up my system and get rid of as many unnecessary items as I can, and this looks like a possible candidate.
I would appreciate any advice or suggestions.
Thanks in advance for your help!
