`ve just recieved a new computer XP home SP2 and the keyboard displays the
wrong characters. If I press the @ key I get this " and if I press the
pound
key I get this #. How do I find out what my keyboard settings are and how
do
I change It to United Kingdom If that`s what I need to do. I went to
control
panel and clicked on keyboard properties but was no help.

You are using a US keyboard with UK settings, or vice versa.

To change it, go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Regional and Language
Options. Change it on the Regional Options tab.
