I don't know where you got that idea..:) I have been burning my dvd's for a

Note the word "natively" in Andrew's sentence "XP can't natively burn
DVD's." He doesn't mean that XP can't burn DVDs if you install DVD
burning software. He means that XP doesn't come with any DVD burning
facility, and he's right.
Of course you can do it, if you install third-party DVD-burning
software such as Nero (a good choice, by the way).

XP can't natively burn DVD's. Vista can burn DVD's directly - which O/S are
you using? This is the XP basics group, not Vista. Perhaps try the
Hardware group (or general) Vista group?
In XP you'll need Nero or similar to burn files to DVD.

Hi I am having problems trying to burn to Dvd Drive.. I have lost the
sendto
Dvd drive command, and when I try to drag the dvd drive to the send to
folder, it immediately changes to CD.. When I use software like deep
burner
and nero to burn to dvd, I am getting a calibration error.. Is my DVD
Drive
going out? Any help appreciated .. thanks Rainy
