MTU has nothing to do with transmission file size, only the packet size.
Picking an optimal MTU size can increase thruput, but doesn't affect file
size.

| You need to increase the Maxim Transmission Unit (MTU) on your PC to be
able
| to finish the updates:
| Open a run command and type in:
| regedit.exe click [OK] and locate this Key:
|
[-]HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters\Interfaces=
| DWORD (1472)
| HOW TO: Change the Default Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) Size Settings
for
| PPP Connections or for VPN Connections
| http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826159
| Also see this pecs here:
| Recommended TCP/IP settings for WAN links with a MTU size of less than 576
| http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900926
| Also if you have a Web accelerator can corrupt the Download or disrupt it.
| Check your firewall not setting the file Limit to your system.
| Also try this tool for the winsock fixer:
| Download and runn then it will ask you to reboot, do so and see if you can
| download more than 30MBs.
