Hi there,

Thanks for reply.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. I'll try again.

When I go to the Windows-Fonts folder, using either the Explorer or the
Control Panel, I see the standard Explorer toolbar with the standard
buttons. (And I added a few buttons by myself.)

Now, tipically in this Windows-Fonts folder, I used to see a special
button to compare fonts: the [AB]-button.
That button (and the identical command in View) has gone.

Question: how to regain that button?

I can't find it, not in the forlder properties, the custom buttons, nowhere,
not after resetting the toolbar, nothing. I must have done something stupid
(registry editing perhaps) but I am not aware of it.
If anybody can help ... Great!

Click on View, Toolbars and select Standard Buttons.

Hi Nepatsfan,

What you tell, is exactly what I am looking for. My point was that this [AB] button and the
command 'View-View fonts by similarity' have gone. I have a standard Explorer
toolbar.

So again: How to get to get these commands back.

Hi,

Basics? I don't know.

Anyhow: I remember a button to compare fonts on similarity (Panose
information).
Now, this button has gone. I can't find it in View-Toolbars-Customize
or any other
command to change bars or views.

How to get it back?

Go to Control Panel and double click Fonts.
Click on View on the Toolbar at the top of the window.
Select "View fonts by similarity" on the menu.
There's also an icon on the Toolbar of the Fonts folder you can click on. Note the AB button in this image.
