Load you XP CD into your CD drive first before executing the command.
Change the X below to your CD drive letter and then paste or type the following command into a command prompt (cmd.exe) window and hit your Enter key.
expand X:\sndvol32.ex_ %windir%\system32\sndvol32.exe
Forget all of the rest of it.

on how to do this, but I'm have a problem. When I enter the correct drive
in the command prompt and hit enter as directed I don't get a space to
enter the next line. All I get is the same letter. As per the
instructions I should have a space to enter the proper info.
