Arconis will not do it either.

Vista is a radically different OS than is XP.

There is no tool available that will restore apps from XP on a clean install
of Vista.

I hope your response is not indicative your other "Computer Consultant"
skills.

Cannot transfer apps.

Acronis is a fantastic backup to use prior to changing over. Verify the
image just to make sure it's good.
