Couldn't you just right click on the name of the folder, then chose
"rename" , and type the last name first? Or am I not understanding
your problem?

When opening a folder, all the files are organized alphabetically. If
the
filename starts with an article (a, an, the) those are the letters that
determine sequence. As a result there are lots of files starting with
"The . . " Is there some way of ignoring the article _other than_
placing it at the end? e.g. Storm, The, instead of The Storm. I
have
5283 folders I'd like to change so that the article is ignored.
Thanks a lot,
