I understand the question, M$ did do that years ago - left a couple of huge files on the disk that most people never deleted.

Actually, the best rollback is to take a disk image before and hang on to it.

M$ would never, ever do such a thing. Their main aim is to get peope to buy
Vista. So they would never admit flaws or discuss the possibility that
people wouldn't like the new monster (which takes more control from the
computer owner and puts it in M$ hands.).

Meanwhile, the average user still believes that anything newer is better.
