Is that why the Tweak UI Autologon fails?
Nope. But did you leave the password field blank, in TweakUI?

Back to my original question: When I look at Users in Control Panel,
there is no password set for my account. Is that why the Tweak UI
Autologon fails?

JD,
it says it can't log me on and I go back to where I have to select my name
You may have typed an incorrect username or password in TweakUI. Simply re-do the steps correctly this time. It works very well!
