I do not understand why loading a webcam would have any effect on the
devices. Sounds like you have more serious troubles and should consider
backing up everything important to you (emails, contacts, favorites,
documents, pictures, product keys, product installation files, etc..) and
performa the repair install to make sure you don;t have any corruption
what-so-ever in the files.

Also - before doing that - when was the last time you scanned for
adware/spyware and did a CHKDSK and DEFRAG?

and it worked until I loaded a VGA Web Cam (USB) .

So I want to try the regedit but the key you name
has no "upper" .. "lower" fillters listed .
Should have said ... running XP Home .

Sounds like I'm for it !

Did a full scan(chk disk) and defrag about two day before the problem .

Have done both since the problem .

Ran Spybot, Ad Aware sevreal times in the last few days .
Both are up to date as well as a virus check .

Have done a copy of my dbx files bun now see there is a way to export them to
a folder .

Will they import as easily ? Know I always have problems with address books !
