Re: CDRW doesn't allow appendable writes

INCD is a "packet writing" program that allows your drive to act very
similar to a memory stick. There are several brands similar to INCD & all
act the same. Usually you need to do a special format to accept the UDF
packets. This type of file system is NOT compatable with ordinary burning
procedures & I have at times ended up throwing a CDRW disk in the trash
because I couldn't convert it back again. I'm sure google will explain
better that me.
Incd can itself be a mungrel to remove from your computer & in fact, Nero
provide a special tool to help remove it. Say no more?

Found my problem. I right clicked on mw cdrw from My Computer, selected
properties. Selected the Recording tab and put a check mark in box Enable
recording on this drive. Works now. I do see that this is a Roxio program.
Case solved.

I'll take a look at Nero. Thanks for the info. I am interested about the
INCD installation also. I wasn't using Roxio, as far as I know.

What is that INCD stuff anyway, it did install when I installed Nero.

| Bet he's just using the inbuilt Roxio that comes with XP!.
| That will be the UDF packet writing "thing" & is nothing but trouble.
(my
| opinion)
| Go find Nero or something & NEVER use that other thing.
| When installing Nero DON'T install the INCD stuff. That's that UDF
packet
| writing stuff as well.
