Thanks all for your reply. Does it matter WHICH usb port is used to plug the
Ipod into on the LT?
Reason I ask is because for the 1st time now TODAY, (while it charged over
night), the Ipod screen said "chrging" with a battery icon. Before, it had
always said on Ipod "Do not disconnect". ALSO, a box had popped up that
suggested this=
"The USB Mass storage evice is a plugged in Hi-speed USBDEVICE & will
function at reduced speed when plugged ino a non-hi speed port". Then it
shows the USB root hub (8 ports) that should support the hi-speed usb
device.
Are you using iPod as a disk drive? (The default is not to.)I looked in My computer> and it did not show it there at all in any letter.
But, I did not look to see if it was there other days; this is my kids ipod
& she is the one that has been charging it.
thanks

as fas as Ipod's that are connected to my laptop by USB=
Is it safe to just unplug the Ipod from the computor.
If you're not, then look on the screen of the iPod. If it says "do
not disconnect", don't. Once the display becomes normal again, it's
safe to disconnect.
If you're using iPod as a disk drive, I recommend clicking the
"unplug" icon in iTunes, then using "safely remove hardware". (You'll
have to wait a few seconds after clicking the iTunes icon, before
iPod realizes that iTunes isn't talking to it any more.)
