Try another 'port test' and read more extensive descriptions of the possible
consequences of replying and not replying to a 'ping' (ICMP Echo) request.
You will worry less. Also, the information as you posted only mentions ONE
failure; the 'ping' test.

In attacking a single computer, the ICMP Echo request is a limited tool.
