These numbers make no sense to me;

System (Advanced)
Paging File
F: 2-1534
Custom Size
Initial Size (MB) 2
Max Size (MB) 1534
Currently Allocated 1535 (Huh)?

Now, in System Information I get the following;

Total Virtual Memory 2 GB (yes, Gigabytes)
Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB
Pagefile Space 2.4 GB

What am I missing ?? (clueless in NV)
TIA for all responses.

First of all, Virtual Memory actually refers to the total memory
address space available, which is the sum of the physical RAM and the
paging file.

You have the paging file on F:. Is that on a different physical hard
drive than where Windows is installed, or is it another partition on
the same physical drive?

For performance and efficiency reasons if you have a single physical
hard drive it is best to leave the paging file on the boot/system
partition so it is as close as possible to "where the action is",
avoiding excessive travel distance for the drive head mechanism as it
shuttles back and forth between partitions.

The difference between the pagefile data for drive F: and the pagefile
space" value leads me to suspect that you have more than one pagefile.
This is a good idea if you have more than one physical hard drive as a
pagefile on each physical drive will give optimal performance, but not
so good if all you have is multiple partitions on the same physical
drive.

Good luck
