Great idea but I think the whole \system32 directory is
blown. I would hat to have to replace all the files in it
over email. Besides as I mentioned in another response
the "expand" command did not work when I tried it.
thanks,
charles......

Check to see if there is a file on the cd in i386 called l_intl.nl_. Ifyou
can find it you can use the extract command from the cd to extract thefile
and put it in windows\system32 OR just give me your email and I'll emailyou
the file provided you have another working computer to receive it on.

Hi all,
I have a laptop that has XP Pro on it. It has quite a
bit of data on it I need to save. It started to give me
the following error message when I first turn it on:
Windows could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\system32\l_intl.nls
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows setup
using the original Setup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.
I finally get to the C:\WNDOWS prompt but what do
I do from here?
thanks,
charles......
