Re: Access Denied to Compressed Files

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

You might need to take ownership of the files in question.

Runing Windows XP Home Second Edition

I was unaware that windows was compressing older files. Now that I need
these files, I can't seem to open them.

These files properties show them as compressed. When I double click on
them, the program they were created in opens, however the file does not.

If I try to open the file through the program it was created in, I get an
Access Denied error.

Any suggestions? I really need to open a few of these older files.

Thanks in advance,
Van
