I think you need to check the motherboard.....specifically the capacitators.
Mobo do burn out...or at least the parts that comprises a mobo and judging
by your chipset yours is a little on the aged side.

No Power=No Start
I hope somebody out there has seen this before.
I just went into another room for fifteen minutes or so and when I came
back to computer it was shut off. I am the only person around [except
for the voices in head] so nobody shut it off. I originally thought it
was in standby mode maybe, but nope I have tried everything to start it
& nothing works. The motherboard looks good & doesn't smell burnt. I
put in a new power supply just in case it was that simple, but still
nothing. I checked the basics[ power cord, make sure switch is on, make
sure the red switch was still on 110], nothing seems to help. I
unplugged the start and reset wires and re plugged them. How can I
check the power supply without the PC on? Is there a way?
Thanks to whoever can figure it out.
Oh yeah it is a AMD Duron, 1009 MHz
Motherboard is Asus A7V133-C
Chipset is VIA VT8363A Apollo KT133A
Thanks Bruce

Motherboard looks good the only thing in the slots is a USB board
everything else in onboard System is only 2 years old I wouldn't think
motherboard would go that fast
