Re: MS Backup won't restore



It is possible that the file is corrupt in which case there is nothing that
I know of that can fix the problem. However you might try downloading a 30
day trialware version of Backup MyPC , which is what the XP Backup utility
is based on, and see if it will open your file.

Hi,
I am trying to restore some files backed up to the C drive on another
machine via my LAN, but Restore says that the file contains unrecognised
data
and cannot be used. Both machines are running XP SP2 and were when the
files
were made.
I have tried this on sevreal different bakup files with the same result.
Any help would be appreciated.
