Hi Everybody!
Wonder if you have seen this before and might have a fix for that (We have
this on three different machines - even different types of machines, but all
3 Laptops - running Windows XP):
Password protected Screensaver goes off, User wants to unlock, presses
Ctrl+Alt+Del, types in his/her password - and the machine shuts down without
warning or anything, data in open files are lost. But machine does not even
shutdown properly, it hangs in the "Saving your settings" screen. Problem is
- this doesn't happen each time the Screensaver is unlocked, therefore after
we had it the first time after searching for a few weeks together with
Microsoft Support (like changing the Screensaver, checking certain dll's,
updating to latest Novell-Client etc.) we gave up and re-installed the
machine, but now it happens to the 3rd machine and we wonder if maybe you
have seen that, too, and know more about it than we do...
Anybody any idea?
Thanks and have a great weekend!!
