I cannot install the original CD from within Windows XP PRO since with the
many updates it says the system on the computer is newer than the CD and
gets out of the installation process. That is understandable but why not
from the CD BEFORE it boots up to Windows XP PRO???

In the past I have occasionally done this without any problems.




To repair IE you hardly have to reinstall XP
