Try checking this folder

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings

\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning

I have had an experience of files not being deleted after using the XP
burning utility. Use either Nero or Easy CD Creator instead.

My C drive is saying that it is practially full after I tried to burn a
couple of dvds however I deleted all the music and other things I dont use
from my computer yet somewhere there is still all this memory being used

think it might be as much as a couple of Gb any suggestions on how to
solve
