If your KEYBOARD were LOCKED, how would you UNLOCK it? And what would the
purpose of locking the keyboard? To keep someone else from using your
computer? Your screen would still be visible, and quite a few things can be
done with just the mouse. And even if you were to lock the mouse also, it
could still be possible to meddle with your computer by inserting a disk.
Logging off keeps your system safe and more private.
Perhaps I just don't understand your question.
