trying to open a message that tells me the file has no program
associated with it and I need to go to folder option. Have had this
problem from time to time.
"Trying to open a message." Well, what does that mean? That you are
trying to download an e-mail and you get the error when attempting to
[pre]view it? That you are trying to open a file that was attached to
an e-mail? That you are double-clicking on a file on the hard drive
to "open" it using some program that must first be associated with the
filetype?
If you are trying to open a *file* (instead of a message), why are you
refusing to divulge what is the filename (including its extension) so
we could help? The file extension (filetype) is the 3-character
string after the last (rightmost) period character, as in
"this-is.a_file.ext" and where .ext is the extension or filetype of
the file.
