I moved the icon back one level. It is now at the same level asI added http://www.dcsi.net/~denmarks/index.html to my favorites and your
index.html. It still doesn't work.

Has anyone got a favicon to work when it is not at the root?

This is a summary of previous requests. I have not yet been able to
solve the problem.
I have the following HTML: http://www.dcsi.net/~denmarks/index.html. It
includes a couple of link statements. One with rel="icon" and one with
rel="shortcut icon". I have seen reference to both versions so I have
included both. They point to
http://www.dcsi.net/~denmarks/graphics/favicon.ico. Note that the icon
is not at the root level since I am just one of many users of dcsi.net.
I have a shortcut to the home page in my browser (IE). I am able to view
the icon by addressing it directly. It does not show up on my shortcut.
Why?
The icon was created with Photoshop and is 16x16 and is an ICO icon. I
used a Photoshop plug-in. The problem may be that it is not at the root
level but it seems that is the purpose of the link statement.
Would someone look at the HTML and ICO file, set it as a favorite, and
see if the image displays. What am I doing wrong?
