Double-clicking Internet Shortcuts launches the Print dialog rather
than opening the webpage:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/internetshortcut.htm
I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
....Alan

When I create a destop shortcut by rigth click desktop|New|Shortcut.
and paste a web address into "Type location of item"
I do get a new shortcut icon but clicking on it results in opening the Print
window.
I'm using IE7 beta 2.
Thanks for any and all help,
Michael
