befor I shut my computer off, I must have changes some setting, beceause when
windows started back up the desk top was too big for the monitor, but when I
would move my cursor to either side or to the bottom or top of the screen,
then the desktop would move, exposing the part of the desktop that I first
couldn't see. and this would work in all directions what ever way I moved the
cursor. The same way that t works you view a picture in a window when the
picture is too big.

Please help I hate this lol

If the mouse cursor does not disappear when you move it to the edge of the screen but instead the desktop moves underneath (to expose more of the desktop that was outside the physical boundary of the screen) then it sounds like you have a desktop manager involved. It is making the desktop bigger (to make it more visible to impaired users) than the physical size of the monitor. Some desktop managers work by providing you with multiple virtual desktops (so you can reduce how many application windows are open and displayed within each virtual desktop). You end up hopping around to the different virutal desktops. However, some work by enlarging the size of the desktop. This doesn't reduce the size of the windows relative to the desktop but gives impaired uses the ability to see the desktop at a larger size than their monitor will provide (the monitor is obviously fixed in its physical dimensions).

You might have 3rd party software effecting the oversized desktop. It could be a "feature" of your video card's software. Is there an icon in the system tray for your video card or a shortcut to a utility for your video card in the Start menu? You might find it has a desktop feature like you describe or you have simply not set the size of the desktop's display to match the size of your screen.
