Harsh. But a conclusion supported by his failure to read the original
post and realize the upgrade was a new operating system and not a new
display adapter.

'Andrew E.' stared at the post. He had a sharp stick. He poked the
question. It shimmered in the sun. He missed the point. His hunt for
'one true sentence' would go on.

I know Phil, and I really don't like to be harsh and in Andrew E.'s case
it is probably useless anyway. He's been giving terrible advice in
broken English for a long time now. He doesn't respond to anyone, just
goes right along breaking things. The only reason I bother to reply to
his posts is that in many cases if the OP followed his advice they
would trash their machine. That's not right.

BTW, your last paragraph is a true gem.
