Sorry for confusing you everyone (damn it). I didn't mean inbox (I meant my
"old inbox" which I mentioned in my OP, and it probably went over your
head - my fault). I understand how the standard inbox and sent items boxes
work completely, and I know where the ng posts go (i.e. in the ng's in the
news servers you have listed in your folders list).

I copy a lot ng posts that I want to save into a general folder called "old
inbox",and there are also a few e-mails in there (which is what is creating
the problem I wrote about in my OP). And all sent messages, either ng or
e-mail, go to my sent items folder, which is the way OE works.

For what its worth, I just figured out how to easily edit the lists (when I
do my cleanups). I just open up the preview pane in (layout) for my mail
boxes and do a side by side and click away. I normally keep the preview
pane unchecked for my mail boxes, and do the double click to open messages
in them, which gives you the viewing window (with the "next" and "previous"
icons I was talking about).

Sorry again for the confusion. I see what's going on now and I know what I
have to do. Thanks for your comments...Pete
