What I'm saying is that you need SP2 for security reasons. There is also a
MS update for a hardware issue with DVD drives HMAT something I don't
remember the name. To fix your problem though you can download the reg file
from here
http://www.pcbutts1.com/downloads/cdfix.reg download the file then double
click on it to merge it, reboot and your problem should be fixed.
