Re: WindowsXP Home

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi JR,

Can you please tell me what the text of the blue screen says?

Also, are you running Service Pack 2 of XP?

Here's some ideas from the Microsoft KB articles that might help you:

If you're running a Logitech mouse and installed the Mouseware, this article
may help you:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;810980

Another article covers the "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE " error:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;315249

Another thing that might affect your shutdown is devices attached to your
computer when you attempt to shut it down. If you have some USB devices
such as a printer, CD burner, Flash drive, etc connected, try unplugging
them before shutting down and see if your problem still occurs.

Hope this helps!
