Using your link!!
Filename Startup entry
ctfmon.exe CTFMON.EXE
When you run a Microsoft Office XP or Microsoft Office 2003 program, the
file Ctfmon.exe (Ctfmon) runs in the background, even after you quit all
Office programs. "Ctfmon.exe activates the Alternative User Input Text Input
Processor (TIP) and the Microsoft Office Language Bar. Ctfmon.exe monitors
the active windows and provides text input service support for speech
recognition, handwriting recognition, keyboard, translation, and other
alternative user input technologies." [1]
ctfmon.exe is located in "C:\WINDOWS\System32\" when running Windows XP.
[Edit]
As far as editing the registry!!
Start>Run>regedit
this opens registry editor.
at top goto edit. type: msconfig Hit enter key.
look at each find. DO NOT delete any reference to msconfig unless it is in a
"RUN" folder.
read the bottom of the screen.
press F3 to look for next occurrence.
hopefully there is is only one "RUN" entry.
close regedit. reboot. What happens?
Be VERY careful as you are editing the Windows registry. Not something you
want to do very often.
There are Startup?Oesky application software to search for these entries.
I usually use the above described method!
