Re: File Associations

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

As Wesley said. In case the application does not get added to the list, then try here:

Registering a program with the "Open With" dialog:

Right click a file, point to Open With and click Choose Program.
Click the Browse button to locate the program you want.
The program will be added to the Open With list.

In news:F4E330C4-5E40-45DB-8CDF-87F60EC0EB96@xxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Steve <Steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> hunted and pecked:
I like using the "right click - OPEN WITH" command to select the relevant
program to open up graphics files. That way I get the right software
depending on what I am about to do with the file.

However, Microsoft Photo Editor does not appear on the list. It is on my
machine as it appears in the Start-Programs list under MS Office 97 and is
fully functional if selected from this list.

What do I have to do to get it to appear on the "Open With ..." list ??

Thanks in advance ...................... Steve
