thank you for your words. only my sense of civility and decorum prevented me
spitting obscenities at your reply.
please understand that your forum CAN resolve the issue but choose NOT to.
although i have respect for IT technicians, most do not deserve mine nor do
they deserve it. most treat non-IT colleagues with contempt and
condascensions. they think that they are the only one with IT knowledge when
most of them do not even have mcse/cisco qualifications and just because they
are the 'gate-keeper' they can lord it over the rest of us. i've yet to work
in an organization where IT served my need rather than theirs. 'why do you
need google? what can it do that msn could not. what's wrong with 20 days?
leave security to us. call us to tidy up your internet temporary internet or
cookies files.' one-to-one heartfelt talk - don't get me started.
what you have said served to illustrate the prevailing patronizing attitude
that i so despise. you do not wish to help - let's leave it at that. DO NOT
give sanctimonious BS that the forum cannot help and adopt the holier than
thou stance as if my query is taboo. the biggest threat has already been
established - the incompetence of leaving registry open to changes by my IT
personnels. this alone signify lack of foresight/forethought on my IT
department where other arbitrary imposition was insituted but for no good
reason.
again, thanks but no thanks.
regards.
ps: the answers are found elsewhere in this forum after hours of searching
as typically microsoft deployed search engine is sub-opimal. so i know YOU
are talking BS.
