Word 6.0

Good Evening to all of you. I recently received some attachments that were
Word 6.0 documents. I could not open them in Outlook Express, nor in
Hotmail. But, I could open them in SBC Yahoo. My question is, why could I
not open them in Outlook Exress and Hotmail, but could in SBC Yahoo? And,
how do I fix this? My OS is XPHome SP2, IE6. If this is not the correct NG
for this, forgive me. I just thought maybe someone would have an idea. Is
downloading OpenOffice my only option? Thanks for caring. Belle
