The "Buddy list," authorizations etc. are kept in the ICQ directory in the
numbered folders. What I do is copy the entire ICQ directory tree over to
the new computer then install ICQ into that directory. This retains
everything. I've kept the same number and user lists since 1997 by doing
this. If you're installing a newer version of ICQ then the database will be
automatically updated to retain compatibility.
