I have installed f.e. the irfanview program and configured the ".jpg" extension to this program. If now I want open a ".jpg"-file with another program I do a rightclick, choose "open with" then (because my wish progam is not displayed on the shortlist) "choose program" and.... there is no choice for me, it will automatically open the ".jpg" file (or any other) with the notepad-program. May I fix this? Thanks a lot for help oldguy "Mark Delaney" wrote: > "Oldguy" <Oldguy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:E3FB0D5D-D5BD-4973-AEE8-320758B150B0@microsoft.com... > > if I do a right click and then choose "open with" and then "choose > > program" > > the computer runs always the notepad application.
